Incentives

Haverhill is part of the Northern Essex Regional Economic Target Area and is classified as a Gateway City. This designation allows the town to provide Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to business projects resulting in increased property values, job retention, and growth.

Some projects may also apply for an Investment Tax Credit and a slew of other incentives through the Massachusetts Economic Development Incentive Program (EDIP)
